Whitney is the Senior Apprentice/Provisional Midwife at Atlanta Birth Care, where she has been since January 2011. Whitney has completed all of the training requirements and is planning to sit for her exam in late 2015 to receive the Certified professional Midwife designation.
The miracle of birth has always captivated Whitney and she has a history of mother support roles over the last two decades, including labor support and infant care. Home birth was her preference when midwifery options were available during her own pregnancies. Whitney is a supporter of family centered birth, natural labor, and informed choice.
Whitney has been a resident of the Atlanta area since 2006 and lives with her family in Acworth. She is an active member of the Georgia Midwifery Association (GMA) and Georgia Birth Network (GBN).
